Green preparation of bract extract ( <i>Musa acuminate</i> ) doped magnesium oxide nanoparticles and their bioefficacy

Magnesium oxide nanoparticles (MgONPs) synthesized by efficient green approach have unique physiochemical properties. In this study, MgONPs are with bract extract of Musa acuminate, an agro waste. The surface plasmon resonance at 450 nm in UV spectrum and FTIR peaks 601 890 cm−1 confirmed the presence MgONPs. XRD pattern revealed high crystallinity intense orientation peak 111, size was 13 nm. particles were spherical average 24.85 elemental percentage magnesium oxygen 68.55% 31.45%. had antibacterial activity against Bacillus subtilis, Escherichia coli, Vibrio harveyi, parahemolyticus, Staphylococcus aureus MIC, 6 μg/mL. IC50 value for MCF-7 cell 113.56 μg/mL, normal line 785.69 NPs also exhibited hemolytic features a dose-dependent manner. photocatalytic degradation methyl violet, CBB G-250, malachite 60 min duration. promising antibacterial, cytotoxic, hemolytic, photocatalytic, seed germination activity. They potential to serve as additive variety biological applications.
